3.  Intellectual Property Ownership
Unless otherwise indicated, all of the content included in this website, such as text, graphics, designs, logos. button icons, images, audio, and data compilations, is the sole property of GSCI and/or the Girl Scouts of the USA  The compilation of all content is also the sole property Girl Scouts of the USA and/or GSCI; the software used to implement and create this website is either the property of GSCI, or is owned by third parties and has been licensed for use by GSCI.  All such content, compilation of content, and software is protected by trade secret, tradedress copyright, patent and other intellectual property laws.  In addition, many of Girl Scouts of the USA.'s marks may appear throughout this site, including without limitation Girl Scouts, and the Trefoil Design mark, as well as other marks that are the sole property of Girl Scouts of the USA.

8.  Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless GSCI and Girl Scouts of the USA, their affiliates, officers, directors, employees, consultants, suppliers and agents from any and all losses, expenses, third party claims, liability, damages and costs (including, but not limited to, attorneys' fees) arising from your use of this site or the violation of this Acceptable Use Policy, including without limitation, your infringement of any intellectual property or other right or policy of any person or entity.

9.  Interpretation and Disputes
This Acceptable Use Policy is governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Illinois, without regard to any conflict of laws provisions, and you agree that venue shall be proper exclusively in GSCI's jurisdiction (cities and counties served) in Illinois.  In the event of any dispute, the prevailing party shall be entitled to recovery of its reasonable attorneys' fees and costs.  Any cause of action or claim made by you or any other website viewer or user with respect to this website must be commenced within one year after the claim or cause of action arises.  If any provision of this Acceptable Use Policy is deemed unenforceable or invalid by a court, that provision shall be severed from this Agreement and the other provisions shall remain in full force and effect.  This Acceptable Use Policy represents the entire, exclusive agreement between the parties on the subject matter described in this Agreement, and supercede all prior proposals and understandings, oral or written.
